Storyline
More Than Friends (TV Series 2020): A decade ago, Kyung Woo Yeon was every bit as innocent and carefree as an eighteen-year-old could be. With dreams, ambitions, and a heart open to love, it was only a matter of time before she developed feelings for someone. And develop feelings she did—for her friend, Lee Soo. Unable to keep her emotions hidden, she confesses her feelings to him before he leaves, only to be placed in the friend zone. Seven years later, she takes another chance, but is rejected once again. She becomes determined to overcome what she views as a curse that prevents her from experiencing love. One lonely day in Jeju, she confidently declares that she no longer likes him and has decided to leave him behind. He, too, leaves Korea while carrying a deep pang of sorrow in his heart. She tries every possible strategy to break what she sees as this curse, having nearly twelve ex-boyfriends in the process. Then, one day, she meets a man named Joon Soo, who offers to become her test subject and help her determine whether the problem lies with her or with the men she has dated. Traumatized by his parents’ divorce in the past, Lee Soo consistently holds himself back from love and chooses not to begin a relationship because he fears it will eventually end. After leaving Jeju Island and his memories of Woo Yeon behind for three years, Lee Soo returns to Korea and finds her with another man; this time, however, he hopes to confront his feelings instead of allowing his past to overshadow him.
